    Millenium Monument

The 68 meters Millennium Monument in Precinct 2, is the first national monument built in Putrajaya. Shaped like a rocket ready for launch, the elevated jungle-shaped ridge is divided into 4 connected components to illustrate the pre-independence era of Malaysia (before 1957), post-independence (1957-1970),  Malaysia at present (1971-2020) and Malaysia in the future (beyond 2020). When seen from above, the tower looks like the hibiscus, Malaysia’s national flower shimmering in gold. From its highest point, the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque and Seri Wawasan bridge can be seen in the distance.  At night, the tower made of aluminum is lighted up like a lighthouse making it exclusive and beautiful.
