Waterski & Wakeboard Putrajaya

The Putrajaya Water Sports Centre in Precinct 6, hosted its maiden Water Ski World Championship in 2017 which had to date, attracted over 5 million visitors. The event was organised by the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF). In 2019, the 3rd championship saw the participation of 134 athletes from 32 countries, competing in 3 categories, namely: Trick, Jump and Slalom, encompassing Wakeboarding, Cable Wakeboarding, Paraplegic/Adaptive Water Skiing, Show Skiing, Ski Racing, Barefoot Skiing and Wakesurfing. The centre’s international standards facilities make it ideal for hosting various water sports activities. The venue hosted the 29th Sea Games in 2017; IWWF Asia Championship in 2011; 2KM Core Island Swimming and Oceanman Malaysia.
