    Putrajaya Greenhouse Gas Emission Level Inventory 2022

    In addition, the Corporation also started to conduct an inventory of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Putrajaya since 2012 as a measure to measure the achievement of the green city initiative that has been carried out. Putrajaya's greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventory for the year 2022 shows that the total carbon emission is 1,477ktCO2eq. This shows a decrease of 0.2 percent compared to the emission level in 2021 which is 1,480ktCO2eq.

    The inventory covers three main sectors namely buildings, transport (land) and solid waste. The building sector is the main GHG contributor which is 50% of the total GHG emissions.
