    Madu Kelulut Presint 9

    Putrajaya stingless bee breeding program is run by the local community in Precinct 9. The community, which consists of mainly senior citizens, worked in an area of approximately 0.5 acres and has more than 50 logs of kelulut. The program has been running since 2008, it is a community-based program under the Local Agenda 21 Putrajaya. To date, this kelulut farm had won several awards organised by the Town Planners’ Association and Institute of Landscape Architect Association (ILAM),and it was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Planning Awards 2021. Additionally, the local community also runs a greenhouse program where rock melons were planted in collaboration with MARDI and supported by funds from Local Agenda 21 Putrajaya Corporation and Ministry of Federal Territories.
